PC Simon Chadwick and PCSO Andrew Brown were praised in the Welsh Government annual newsletter “ A year of achievement and Partnership in Wales” relating to Wales wildlife and rural crime with all the outstanding work they are doing relating to “Operation Seabird” on the Gower Peninsula. Feedback from the public and local businesses has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing greater awareness of the issues facing coastal wildlife. The presence of officers and partner agencies has not only deterred harmful activities but also fostered a sense of shared responsibility for the Gower’s natural heritage.
Operation Seabird Cymru’s 2025 campaign stands as a model for effective partnership working and proactive community engagement. Thanks to the dedication of PC Simon Chadwick and PCSO Andrew Brown, and their colleagues, the Gower Peninsula is better protected for both wildlife and future generations of visitors.
